Our Aims are.

  1. To obtain individual User’s
    experiences of services.
  2. To ensure future services are designed
    around User’s needs
  3. To provide a safe environment
    where Users can conduct a forum
    on disability issues relating to the
    services used.
  4. To develop a communication
    strategy for keeping Users informed
    about services and the existence of
    the User Group
  5. To provide a trained User for
    interview selection teams
  6. To support one another.

We work to the following principles.

    The User Group works towards improving the service for ALL Users. This is facilitated by adopting the six principles agreed upon by all stakeholders during the County Wide Consultation process in 2001

    3. Best use of resources
    4. Relevance
    5. User control
    6. Joint working

    The Physical Disability User Group hold their meetings at the Doddridge Center St. James in Northampton . Any user who wishes to attend will be more than welcome.

Travel costs will be reimbursed on production of taxi receipt or if using own car mileage can be claimed.

If you have special needs and require an Interpreter / Hearing loops / Signer please inform the PDUG so your specific needs can be catered for.
